The Data Management System group is one of the largest research groups of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The group's research focuses on both extending and improving database management systems (DBMS) and data management for new domains. Our research covers new challenges in data management as well as data-centric approaches to various areas including human computing and interaction, distributed systems, statistical computation, artificial intelligence, programming languages and technology for developing regions. We are concerned in designing and developing management systems for various types of data (XML, business process data, time series, relational, streaming, sensor, and others), and in discovering techniques for efficiently storing, querying, and evaluating these data.
