Assignment Submission Timing and Academic Performance Among Undergraduate Students: A Mixed-Methods Case Study
This paper examined the relationship between the timing of the submission of assignments early, on time, or late and the overall grades of undergraduates in Bangladesh. A concurrent mixed-methods design was adopted. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 27.0 through descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation, while qualitative responses were thematically categorized to identify motivations, frustrations, and behavioral influences. The findings revealed a strong negative correlation (r = -.832, p < .001), indicating that students who submitted assignments on time or earlier achieved higher CGPA.
